About Mr. Foster

 

Hello, I am Mr. Foster. I currently teach 6th grade Social Studies (Minnesota Studies) at the wonderful Hastings Middle School. I have had this assignment for the last 8 years. Before coming to the Middle School, I taught 5th grade for 19 years at J.F. Kennedy Elementary School and 3 years at Christa McAuliffe Elementary School, in Hastings. I really enjoy teaching in Hastings schools.

 

I was born and raised in Hastings and went to school here. I went to college at Mankato State University and graduated with a degree in Social Studies 7-12. I returned to school at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls gaining a master's degree in Elementary Education.

 

I am married to my wife Rachel and have four children. I reside in Hastings with Rachel. My youngest daughter, Anna, is a senior at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa.

 

In my spare time I enjoy riding my scooter, going to plays, watching sporting events, and reading, exercising. Spending time with my family is also something I enjoy.
